I am tingling. I had forgotten how lovely it is to have someone think you are magic. And now there are 2…I did not ask for it and I definitely did not expect it. So I guess we will see what happens. I did do The Disclaimer* and it was not met with a Dopplerian sound of sandles flapping so we’ll see.
Neither are even remotely my “type”. Bachelor number 1 is a gym person. I am not a huge fan of muscle guys.** They look so encumbered. But he is very smart and dynamic and he reads. Bachelor number 2 is a Godly man. A quiet, kind, sweet man who loves the Lord and happens to play bass guitar deliciously.
The John Mayer Dude I told you about was all about the sandal flapping. I should’ve known. So weird how me being me can cause such very different responses in people. Oh well.
I have VT to keep me accountable though so that will help. I will not go down the hormone road again. It just leads to heartbreak and bruised souls.
I really think you and the Cutie from Hillcrest could make an excellent couple. She is quite lovely and interested in the same stuff as you. But I also know that any form of set up will have you rapidly retreating so I have backed off…I don’t know if you can hear me seeing as I am practically in the Himalayas :)
I went out with old friends and colleagues of mine. They were completely cool about my leaving early and drinking wine flavoured soda water. One of the guys was so intrigued about my 180 turn that he wants to start a conversation. God is amazing.
- Word of the day: propitiation
- Insight of the day: The ego is a scary thing
- State of the pool: lukewarm water fizzing like excellent champagne
- Random thought: How come I look right whenever I have to think of a random thought?
- Awesomest lines: So pure, so just, so uncompromising is the Law of God, that when it is really understood, it makes us quail, and brings us to our knees.
- Charles Spurgeon - Scripture lines: 2 Corinthians 3
1Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody. 3You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.
4Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. 5Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant—not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.
*The Disclaimer: Y’all need to read Joel’s Companionship Principle book
