Of dreams and touch
| I dreamt of you last night. You kissed me and you tasted like Grape Mentos. Dream touches are ghost touches. But I remember the soft sweet wetness of your mouth and the gentle pressure of you hands in the nape of my neck. I remember you chuckling softly at my shock and cradling me when I couldn’t stand properly afterwards. I remember how perfectly my head fit under your chin and how you kissed my head and gave me a brief allbody hug and then let me go. I remember how you held my hand when you walked me to my car. And how you didn’t say bye but instead said that you would phone me so that we could talk again. I remember/relive the touch that didn’t happen. Do you have any idea how much that sucks?
It was easy enough to live without touch when you do not permit yourself to think about it. Denial is awesome. Unfortunately the subconscious is a miserable, yellow bellied coward who betrays and tortures.* I understand that people say that being alone after relationships end is necessary but how do they live without touch for years at a time? I am not a touchy person at all. So if this is driving me crazy how in the hell do the more physically inclined survive? 1. Word of the day: dream 2. Insight of the day: the less letters in a word the more powerful the concept 3. State of the pool: wanting to be soup. To have bones and marrow steep in me. 4. Random thought: I’m vastly irritated with music producers who enjoy switching sound between speakers. Very few things are as irritating as getting motion sickness from a song. 5.
