Sleep really must happen at some point
I have not slept decently (i.e. more than 3 hours consecutively and more than 4 hours in total per night) this past week so please forgive the grammatically /cringe quality of today’s ygm.
Last night was awesome for 2 reasons: 1. I made a rocking bastilla* and fudge filled vanilla muffins** and V&P came for coffee. I made him tell me the mushy version of how The Lurve came to be. The parallels are scary. I also got them to ensure that I have a bottle of real (read “contains alcohol”) champagne at their future wedding – he agreed but that he would have to remove the label. Young pastors…what can you do :)
Oh and we will hook up a Llama face evening /bounce!
What The Lurve story made me realise is that although I miss you so much that every time I am reminded of you (which is ridiculously frequently given the circumstances >.<) it feels like a deeply disturbed and road raged Mike Tyson punched me in the solar plexus…anyway…what I realised is that rationally you and I would not have worked now. But you knew this. I just wish and pray that the hope would die. The love I am pretty much stuck with but at least if the hope died I would not be constantly staggering around gasping for breath and knuckling my bleary eyes. I’ve started wearing my contacts because a. I have no idea what I did with my glasses (sigh) and b. teary eyes are a brushoffable offense for the optically challenged.
I got them to go the camp next month so yay for having ‘my posse wit me’ /strange hand signal that is vastly inappropriate for my race, gender and age. I haven’t been to a church camp in…hmmm…something like 15 years.
1. Word of the day: valetudinarian (been reading Emma…again)
2. Insight of the day: Having Godly friends are amazing. They hang out with you and do all the normal friend stuff but with the added sheer awesome of praying with, and for, you. Getting my heart handed to me in a hand basket was perhaps the best thing to happen to me in ages.
3. State of the pool: Clear with slanted ripples of light bouncing the light right back atcha

5. Awesomest line: Earworm today. Lifehouse – Everything
6. Scripture line: John 11:27 “Yes, Lord,” she told him, “I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world.”…how amazing it must have been to be able to say this to JC. And then He goes and raises his friend and her brother from the dead. This is our Lord.
* www.peterandrewryan.com/baking/2009/01/bastilla Only I didn’t do the scrambled egg bit. I instead layered the bastilla with chicken stock couscous, buttery veg and then the chicken mix. I love cooking. I want to be a mom that bakes and has dinner parties…I want to be Nigella only without the butterball hips!
**Calling them muffins is very misleading. Those are mouth-happiness mini sugar bombs.
